How to avoid damages from static electricity to LED display in Winter?

Weather is dry in Winter and it’s the season for easy static electricity generation.The human body electrostatic usually ups to a few kilo volts or even tens of kilo volts in dry environment.Although the electrostatic discharge (ESD) is not danger to people, it’s easy to cause fatal damage to semiconductor products such as LED display.

The hazards of electrostatic discharge (ESD):

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can happen in any step of LED display production, delivery and installation procedures. Incorrect operation can cause electrostatic breakdown to led chips.

Precautions to electrostatic discharge:

1. Precautions during production: make static knowledge and the related technical training to production staffs, during production procedures, require the staffs must wear grounding electrostatic bracelet.

2. Precautions during delivery: make sure delivery vehicles keeping grounded and maintain correct loading and unloading methods without touch the electron components on the PCB board directly.

3. Precautions during installation: in strict accordance with the anti-electrostatic operation guard during installation, forbidden to touch the core electronic component parts without protection devices, make effective grounding on the installation steel structure.
