It seems that outdoor LED display is the only irreplaceable option for outdoor big screen display area without any. However, on the opposite side, there are plenty display technologies for indoor big screen products.

The original product was CRT TV wall but it was fully replaced by DLP rear projection splicing technology, and during the process there was LCOS display technology, and now the  led display products also need to share more indoor advertising market, the small pixel display products are the key to launch a comprehensive attack to the market.

Looking through all the display technologies, each one has its advantages and limitations, it’s difficult to tell which one has the absolute advantages and thus the market sales accounts are different each year.The large screen display performance list results give us a direct impression that order from big to small, all the display technology products sales amount ranking is DLP rear projection splicing video wall, engineering projection, LCD splicing video wall, plasma splicing video wall, small pixel led display.

The previous overlord DLP rear projection splicing video wall has two feature,that’s high screen resolution and small splicing seam, but it still has its limitation after years development, such as display unit has inconsistent intensity attenuation and color drift, and the problem can’t be adjusted, besides, DLP technology has poor view angle and low refresh rate, the view effect is not as good as LCD, PDP and LED display.

Engineering projection has big limitation when use single set performance but the limitations disappear when several projectors edge fusion technology are used, the technology is used for virtual simulation applications and it makes it irreplaceable by other technologies. 

In recent three years, the plate display technology gets big improvement due to its excellent video display effect and high cost performance, but it’s only acceptable for indoor low end display market that’s because it has too large splicing seam for high end control room applications which mainly display images and figures and it’s in doubt whether the plate display can keep 7x24 hours uninterrupted performance. That’s the problems for LCD splicing display and plasma splicing display.

All the above display technologies have their own choke points and it’s difficult to overcome the problems because the present indoor display technologies are incomplete.But the small pixel led displays can make seamless video wall, that’s why they shocked the high end indoor display market as soon as they were launched to market.

Small pixel led displays don’t have the problems of inconsistent intensity attenuation and color drift, each pixel points can be corrected but have slim screen structure and less rear maintenance space which increases the space utilization. LED display has higher refresh rate and better color revivification and contrast ratio, the lifespan is as long as 100000 hours and support 7x24 hours uninterrupted work. For the control room applications which has strict requirement to the screen resolution and mainly video display applications, the small pixel LED display is undoubtedly the best choice.
